Hokkaido Airport, which operates New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, significantly increased parking fees at Parking Lots A, B, and C starting October 10th. The maximum 24-hour fee for Parking Lots A and B during normal times will triple from ¥1,200 to ¥3,500, resulting in a significant increase in the burden on users. [Note 1]

While this will be a significant burden and inconvenience for users, some believe that this significant increase may help alleviate the chronic congestion. There are always two sides to everything, but as a customer, cheaper is always better.
