Marui Imai Sapporo will be hosting the “HOKKAIDO BEER TOPIA 2025 ~ JOURNEY ~” event from November 6th to 9th, 2025. Please note that the event will end at 5:00 PM on the final day. This event will bring together a wide variety of Hokkaido’s unique craft beers at Marui Imai. The event will be held in the event hall on the 9th floor of the Odori Building in the Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store.

I don’t drink much alcohol and I’m not very knowledgeable about beer, but even I was intrigued by several beers at this event [Note 1]. Hokkaido Imo White Ale has a crisp, sparkling wine-like mouthfeel and is said to combine the vibrant and powerful aroma of hops from Kutchan Town. It also boasts an alcohol content of a whopping 7.0%. While recommended for those who enjoy stronger drinks, it’s also an economical beer, as you can get drunk with just a small amount. Shiraoi Maple’s alcohol content of 5.0% may be standard for a beer, but it’s made with sap from the sugar maple tree, so if you’re tired of regular beer, why not give it a try?

Marui Imai Sapporo has also started taking reservations for Christmas cakes [Note 2]. Reservations run from 10:00 AM on November 1st to 5:00 PM on December 15th. White cake, chocolate cake, variety cake, and frozen cake are available for purchase.

Marumitsu Delivery has also launched a new delivery service [Note 3]. Marumitsu Delivery picks out recommended pairings each month, and this month’s special is wine and cheese. Drinking wine and beer makes you want to eat something. Marumitsu Delivery also delivers groceries, and this month’s recommended item, Deep-Fried Salt chicken, will be delivered from November 5th to November 11th, so be sure to purchase early.
